Our expertise in action
Explore how our team worked on the Derrycrin Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW), as part of joint venture (DLJ Water) to modernise the existing WwTW that had been in service for almost 50 years.

Our History
With industry experience dating back to the mid-1980s and a long-standing partnership with Northern Ireland Water through Framework agreements, our team offers extensive technical expertise and a strong track record for delivering comprehensive solutions across Northern Ireland.

2025 – Avove Ireland

2014 – Jacopa UK & Ireland
Jacopa was formed following a management buyout led by Ovivo Vice President, Alex Lloyd, and Finance Director, Peter Sargent, acquiring the municipal wastewater division of Ovivo Inc. The new company focused exclusively on the UK and Ireland wastewater sector, combining the strength of a well-established product portfolio with the introduction of innovative technologies.
Jacopa’s Ireland-based division has since built a strong reputation as one of the most diverse and capable providers in the sector, specialising in the delivery of multi-disciplinary design and build solutions for water and wastewater treatment.

2010 – Ovivo Ltd
As part of a strategic corporate restructuring in 2010, the trade and assets of EIMCO Water Technologies (Ireland) Limited were transferred to EIMCO Water Technologies (Municipal) Limited – including all subsidiaries and branches – were subsequently transferred to Ovivo UK Limited.
This consolidation created an enlarged entity, which became the primary trading arm of Ovivo’s operations in the UK, strengthening its market position and streamlining service delivery across the region.

2007 – EIMCO Water Technologies Ireland Ltd
Copa Wastewater Controls was acquired by EIMCO Water Technologies in 2007, resulting in the rebranding of the business as EIMCO Water Technologies Ireland Ltd. The company became part of the GLV Group, a Canadian publicly listed corporation.
Under the new ownership, the business continued to grow expanding its operations and broadening its range of water and wastewater services across the UK and Ireland.

2006 – Copa Wastewater Controls Ltd
In 2006, Wastewater Controls Ltd was acquired by Copa Ltd and began trading in Ireland as Copa Wastewater Controls. The company specialised in stormwater management, sedimentation, biological treatment and screening technologies with a core focus on solids-liquid separation and wastewater treatment solutions for both industrial and municipal sectors across the UK and Ireland.

1986 – Wastewater Controls Ltd
Founded in 1986, by Kieran Madine, Wastewater Controls Ltd quickly established a reputation for excellence in the water and wastewater sector. As Managing Director, Kieran successfully led the business for over two decades, building and managing a dedicated team of twenty-five engineering, commercial and administrative professionals.
