Avove Wins Major 6-Year Framework Award with SP Energy Networks

We’re pleased to announce the win of a major vegetation management framework with SP Energy Networks
We have been awarded a multi-million-pound vegetation management framework agreement with SP Energy Networks to deliver vegetation management services across Central and Southern Scotland, North and Mid-Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Shropshire. This prestigious contract underscores our unwavering commitment to supporting SP Energy Networks’ dedication to delivering a reliable and resilient electrical distribution and transmission network. The groundbreaking six-year vegetation management framework started on 1st January 2025 and covers the ENATS 43-8, ETR 132 programme works, as well as outage management service and emergency fault response. The contract is worth over £60 million for the framework period.
Long-standing Partnership with SP Networks

This new framework continues the long-standing partnership between Avove and SP Energy Networks that began in 2012. Avove has maintained and enhanced SP Energy Networks’ infrastructure for over a decade, leveraging innovation, efficiency and industry-leading standards.

The framework agreement emphasises operational excellence and a shared focus on sustainability, collaboration and customer satisfaction. Avove’s robust service delivery system will seamlessly incorporate cutting-edge practices and methodologies to meet SP Energy Networks’ operational requirements.
The announcement comes after a series of strategic wins for AMP8+ (water) and RIIO-ED2 (power) framework contracts for Avove, across England, Scotland and Wales. These achievements, alongside existing customer growth, have resulted in Avove doubling in size since its formation in 2022.
