NPG Colleagues ‘Branch Out’ to Support Local Village Hall Makeover
Our NPG Team Supports Local Village Hall with Essential Tree Maintenance
Our Northern Powergrid (NPG) team recently rolled up their sleeves to help out at Legbourne Village Hall in Louth with essential tree maintenance, to make way for new sports facilities for the local community.

Supporting the Facilities for Local Community Football Teams
Legbourne Village Hall, home to Grimoldby FC and several youth football teams, relies on donations and charity events to fund their activities. When it was identified that essential tree maintenance was required at the village hall, our team volunteered their time to complete the work.
Our volunteers tidied up overhanging branches and around the football fields and reduced two 50ft pines to prevent any risk of them falling onto the hall and to allow planning for the installation of two smaller pitches for young players to go ahead.
Speaking about the success of this initiative, Scott Short, our NPG Regional Manager and a coach at the club, shared:
This community day was a huge help, allowing the hall to complete ncessary tree work and invest funds into other areas. The volunteers’ feedback was fantastic, and the lovely weather and fish and chips lunch added to the feel-good factor. As someone who actively uses the club and its facilities, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who helped complete the works and I’m looking forward to organising similar events in the future.
