Sponsoring Scottish Hockey’s Aspiring Girls

We have signed a deal to support Scotland’s Aspiring Girls under 18s hockey team (2022-2023) which will go a long way to supporting the athletes as they develop into tomorrow’s senior internationalists, with the hope of representing their nation in future Commonwealth Games and Olympics.
Launched as part of Scottish Women and Girls in Sport 2022 week campaign #SheCanSheWill, the sponsorship deal will also see Avove’s logo taking pride of place on the front of the team’s newly designed Under 18s home and away kits.

This tremendous support from Avove will help us to sustain and enhance the quality of development opportunities available to our talented athletes in the Scotland Aspiring Girls’ squad. Avove is a highly regarded business and shares the same values as Scottish Hockey, and we look forward to working together to support our fantastic young athletes.”

Here at Avove we are passionate about nurturing talent and attracting people from under-represented groups, including young females, to the construction and utilities sector.

“We are delighted to launch this partnership as part of the #SheCanSheWill campaign celebrating female sports. Following on from the success of hockey in the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, we firmly believe that team sports have a positive effect on mental health, and help players to build their self-esteem and confidence, and develop crucial employability skills such as teamwork, strategic thinking and leadership.”

The new kits, ethically produced by New Balance, were unveiled across all Scottish Hockey’s age groups following the Commonwealth Games.

Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week is in its sixth year and celebrates ‘visibility and partnerships’ – activity encouraging participation of girls and women in physical activity and sport, which remains a priority for the Scottish Government #SheCanSheWill.
