We are committed to promoting and creating an inclusive environment. We want everyone to feel a sense of belonging, enabling all our colleagues to thrive and reach their full potential.
Inspiring Inclusion at Avove
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity and is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness of women’s equality and call for positive change.
The theme For IWD 2024 is Inspire Inclusion, which aims to encourage important conversations to inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion and forge a better world. When women are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.
Supporting Women in Avove
We have partnered with Womens Utilities Network (WUN) and Women in Engineering Society (WES) to support our ambitions of creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce, and attracting and retaining the best talent across the industry.
We have also developed the Women at Avove Community of Practice Group, which seeks to give our colleagues the opportunity to come together to share ideas and different opinions, that will help us to develop our understanding and improve everyone’s experience whilst at work.
