Mind and Maggie’s chosen as Avove’s charity partners following colleague vote

We’re delighted to announce the results of our recent colleague vote to select our new charity partners, and what a turnout it was! A huge thank you to our colleagues who took part, your voices have shaped our path forward in an incredibly meaningful way.

Supporting Mind and Maggie’s together
We’re proud to continue supporting Mind, our dedicated mental health charity partner for England and Wales, and SAMH in Scotland. We’re also thrilled to welcome Maggie’s cancer charity as our newest partner. These organisations echo the values and priorities of our people, providing vital support for mental wellbeing and compassionate care during life’s toughest moments.
In the past two years, our teams have raised £23,747 for Mind and £3,866 for SAMH, whilst raising nearly £20,000 for other UK charities in 2024 alone – an incredible achievement that speaks to the generosity and dedication across our organisation. This year, with our matched funding scheme, we’re setting our sights even higher.
We’re teaming up with our charity partners to roll out exciting fundraising events and awareness activities. Whether you’re baking, walking, donating, or simply cheering others on, there’s a role for everyone. Together, we can make a real impact – one step, one pound, one kind act at a time.

Who are Mind?
Mind are a mental health charity who provide vital information and support to people living with a mental illness. Alongside their support, they also campaign for change and fight for better mental health support for people in England and Wales.
At Avove, we are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our team members and value the important work that Mind undertakes to support those experiencing mental illness.

Who are Maggie’s?
Maggie’s is an independent charity that offers free support to anyone who is living with cancer and their families. The charity runs a number of drop-in centres that offer professional support for a range of queries and concerns, from treatment side effects to financial worries.
Maggie’s is our new charity partner this year, voted for by our employees who value and appreciate the unique support they offer to those living with cancer.
What this support means to our partners
Samantha Murphy, Centre Fundraiser at Maggie’s, commented:
“We are delighted that Avove has chosen Maggie’s as one of their charity partners for the next two years. Maggie’s supports people living with cancer and those they love to receive free practical and emotional support. Avove’s collaboration with Maggie’s will help us to be there for everyone who needs us.”
Imogen O’Neil, Partnerships Manager at Mind, added:
“A huge thank you from Mind for voting for us to be your Charity of the Year for 2025-2027. We have really enjoyed our incredible partnership over the past two years, and we are so excited to continue the fight for mental health to ensure that people experiencing mental health problems get the support and respect they deserve. Every penny raised helps make a difference and we can’t wait to get started.”
Building a brighter future together
Throughout the year, we will continue raising vital funds to support the work of our two company charity partners, both of which offer critical support at significant and challenging times in people’s lives. The money we raise will help them continue their important work, supporting those in need through the provision of much-needed support.
