Sustainability targets approved by Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

We achieved a significant sustainability milestone – the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has formally approved our emissions reduction targets.

This recognition confirms that our plans meet the rigorous Net Zero Standard Criteria and align with the Paris Agreement goals to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. This highlights our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to a low-carbon economy. Verified science-based targets are crucial as they enable us to demonstrate to stakeholders and clients that our plans are both ambitious and compliant with UK government legislation aimed at achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

We have been working on this standard since November 2023, when we formally committed to reducing our carbon footprint by joining the initiative. In December 2024, we submitted our targets for validation, aiming for the most ambitious designation available through the process.

This achievement represents a major milestone towards achieving our sustainability goal of being a Net Zero business and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commended us on choosing to follow the most ambitious designation available through the SBTi process.

We are delighted that our science-based targets have been verified by an independent body (the SBTi) which provides assurance that they are robust and credible. This gives confidence to our stakeholders, including our clients, that our plans to reach Net Zero are realistic and align with the latest scientific research on limiting global warming to 1.5°C. The verification of our emission reduction targets is an important step in our road to Net Zero working with clients and our supply chain partners.”
