Our pioneering partnerships have been shortlisted in the 2023 Utility Week Awards

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in the Collaborative Excellence Award in the 2023 Utility Week Awards, alongside our supply chain partners iNPIPE PRODUCTS and Ecofill, recognising the world-class innovative approach we are applying at the Vyrnwy Aqueduct Modernisation Programme, in Cheshire.
This award highlights the integrated working between supply chain partners and the role this plays in delivering resilient, efficient and innovative services for utility clients.
The Utility Week Awards celebrates excellence in the utilities industry and remains the sector’s primary awards event.

Our collaborative partnership entry has beaten off stiff competition to be shortlisted, which is a testament to the innovative way our in-house technical design and project teams have approached the project.

As a collaborative team, we have overcome challenges, designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients and the sector to take forward – with two ground-breaking examples highlighted: air pigging and Ecofill temporary haul roads.

We are delighted to be recognised in the 2023 Utility Week Awards, in our first year as Avove for leading on innovative initiatives in collaboration with our supply chain partners iNPIPE PRODUCTS and Ecofill.

Being shortlisted amongst some of the largest utility companies and contractors in the industry is an amazing achievement and highlights the innovative initiatives we are undertaking with iNPIPE PRODUCTS where we are breaking ground in the cleaning of pipelines using air-pig technology. This also recognises the sustainable approach to haul roads we are bringing to the sector with Ecofill.”

Avove Business Director – Operations, Patrick Rafferty

The recognition from Utility Week Awards is not just an honour but a significant validation of the collaborative ethos we share with Avove and iNPIPE PRODUCTS. Our initiative represents more than innovation; it’s a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable advancements in the utilities sector.

We’re proud to be at the forefront of these efforts, demonstrating what can be achieved through partnership, innovation, and a shared vision for a more sustainable future.”

Ecofill Chairman, Dr. Nigel Griffiths

Well done to everyone involved in the project and the award submission. We look forward to attending the Utility Week Awards on 5 December, at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
